Lion William Everall, secretary of the Stoneboro Lions wrote:  This was a reunion picnic 65 years after the original picnics held at charter member John McDowell's farm which is now owned by Bill Doyle and is the Maple Lane Farm.  Mr. Doyle was gracious enough to provide the use of the barn for the picnic.  Many former members, members from the Harrisville and Volant Lions Club and even a couple of people who were pictured in the 1950 picnic photo were in attendance.  A delicious catered meal was enjoyed by the 61 people in attendance.  Many individuals made the comment that this should be an annual event.  The Stoneboro Lions Club has been serving the Lakeview area for 67 years.  All monies raised by the Lions are donated back to the community and international service projects.
